The final painting in my new Rocky Mountain series is majestic “Mount Rundle,” and I must thank Paul Zizka for generously giving me permission to use his gorgeous photograph as my inspiration. I knew immediately it was destined to become a painting, as when I saw it, it took me right back to Banff. My last visit there was just a couple of years ago and, to me, Mount Rundle is like a sentinel in the wilderness, watching and guarding this incredibly scenic national park. It is impossible to miss the power it silently conveys, which is likely why it continues to draw me and many others to it in awe.
